Zubeen Garg Zindabad

Famous Assamese singer Zubeen Garg died in Singapore in an accident in the sea on 19 September 2025. After his sudden and untimely death, Zubeen became history and legend, not only in Assam and India but also throughout the world. The final journey of Assam's cultural and musical icon in Guwahati drew a massive crowd of over 1 million (10 lakh) mourners, earning recognition in the Limca Book of Records as one of the largest public grieving gatherings globally for a musician. 
Zubeen�s funeral (2025) is the third largest funeral gathering in the world for a musician after Michael Jackson (2009) and Umm Kulthum (1975). The 'Z' Trend: Google highlighted Zubeen Garg in its annual A-Z trending list for India. �Zubeen Garg Zindabad� is the English translation of the Assamese book �Zubeen Garg Zindabad� in the year 2019, just before Covid19 period. Those poems were composed when Zubin Garg was not very famous or legend like today.
