Prakrit was the written literature of the Indic vision of the infinite. What is the esoteric meaning of a traditional story of India cannot be understood without a grounding in Prakrit. It is the root of advaitic and ahimsic roots of Indic thought. In this book on Indian Culture Studies we examine both Prakrits based visions of indic storytelling as well as contemporary narrative practices in India today through analysis and interviews.
