This collection will be placed at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023, Germany.

Write your short stories to be made into Comics placed in an anthology publication followed by representation in International Fairs and pitches for animation adaptations!

Submission Process and Rules 

a. Write a short story story in not more than 2,000 words and within 4-5 characters only and submit it HERE for curation.

b. Submit 1 short story only

c. Content must be in English only

d. Registration is compulsory.

Deliverables

a. Each short story would be taken up to form a short comic with comic panel creation followed by development of the illustrations

b. Illustrations would be placed with narrations or speech bubbles as per regular comic requirements and as decided by the editorial board (certain dialogues need to be changed/adapted during the visualization process)

c. Comic Anthology will be published and be made available in both print and digital formats with equal royalty share to all contributors as per regular publication processes

d. The comic book will be represented at Frankfurt Book Fair and also be pitched for adaptation into animation films for individual stories

e. Separate regular paperback for the submitted stories shall also be produced with due royalty credits provided to all contributors (Hence, overall 2 separate books will be produced - one for the comic and the other for a regular publication)

Decisions pertaining to the selection of final entries will be made by Ukiyoto's editorial team. 

Since content curation will be done on a rolling basis and there will be limited volumes, the earlier you submit, the better. 

Content containing calls to violence or insults to any social groups will not be included!
