About the Event

Write qualitative well researched and thought provoking short story or poetry based on any one of Chanakya Niti for release at 47th Kolkata International Book Fair at the International platform along with Day 3 Gala Dinner Night at KLC2024 and Certificate of Honor on stage.

The compositions maybe short stories or poetry with publications and Felicitations with Networking Dinner at, Kolkata Literary Carnival (KLC) 2024 on Day 3 - 14th Jan'24.

Those unable to join in person will be notified via email or online for the deliveries.

Deliverables,

1. Felicitation with Certificate of Honor on stage on 14th Jan'24 at KLC2024, Jodhpur Park Grounds, Kolkata

2. Networking Dinner for all selected authors on 14th Jan'24

3. Book Placement and Release at our stall at 47th Kolkata International Book Fair (18th Jan onwards) at Boi Mela Prangon

4. Published, distributed and promoted by us as Paperbacks, Hardbacks, Dust Jackets and eBooks worldwide with equal share of royalty paid to authors on sale.

5. Placement of the published titles at National Libraries.

How to submit?

a. Write well thought about and qualitative short story between 1,000 and 8,000 words or poetry between 800 and 4,000 words and upload your manuscript here (by 15th Dec'23) after registering here which is a mandatory step.

b. Content should be in English only.

c. Content maybe published elsewhere earlier but author should have the rights to his/her content.

You may register now by the Early Bird Deadline of 30th Nov'23 and block your slots and submit your manuscript later on or before the given due date.

What are Chanakya Nitis? To list a few,

1. Leadership and Governance: A king should always be vigilant and surrounded by trustworthy ministers. Good governance requires an understanding of the needs and concerns of the people. A ruler must be just and unbiased in decision-making.

2. Strategy and Planning: Chanakya emphasizes the importance of strategy in achieving goals. Success in any endeavor requires careful planning and execution. Timing is crucial in both warfare and day-to-day activities.

3. Economics and Wealth Management: The importance of managing finances wisely is stressed. Chanakya advocates for saving and investing for the future. Avoid unnecessary expenditures and debt.

4. Relationships and Social Conduct: The significance of building and maintaining good relationships is highlighted. The importance of choosing friends and companions wisely. Be cautious in revealing your thoughts and plans.

5. Personal Conduct and Morality: Chanakya emphasizes the importance of personal integrity and moral conduct. A person should strive for self-improvement and avoid deceit. The virtue of patience and perseverance is extolled.

6. Learning and Education: Continuous learning and acquiring knowledge are important for personal growth. Education is seen as a means to empower oneself and contribute to society.

7. Adaptability and Flexibility: Chanakya stresses the need for adaptability to changing circumstances. One should be flexible in their approach and willing to learn from experiences.

We will curate content on a rolling process as and when they come in.

The "works" would be placed in anthology/collections to be produced as books.

Content containing calls to violence or insults to any social groups will not be included!

In case of incorrect, plagiarized and copied content ineligible for curation is submitted, there shall be no refund for the same as we take each editorial seriously with quality time spent on the same. We shall not be responsible for missing deadlines or late submissions without any refund.
