Carnival Screenings

Carnival Screenings are screenings of films where filmmakers, directors, producers, content creators, artists and those of similar likes can showcase and pitch their films to all delegates or visitors of Kolkata Literary Carnival. Film makers are also most welcome to call their own guests and have them view their shows to gain enhanced viewership or raise funds for their projects.

The advantages of the screenings are to gain much required visibility and traction among potential content buyers, co producers or distributors for future growth and benefit.

Genres permissible: All except Religion, Politics, Erotica, Narcotics, Alcohol, Communal and those of similar likes

Rules:

1. Registration is mandatory for all film makers, producers or directors to have their slots fixed for the screenings following which you may submit your film in .mp4 or .mov format via email to publishing@ukiyoto.com latest by 15th Jan'23

2. The ticket rates are per film for screening

3. Each film should be less than 15 mins in length excluding credits section

4. Use of cameras or any AV for recording inside the screening hall is strictly prohibited

5. Slot booking form on Calendly would be sent to all registered participants about a month prior to the event for corresponding bookings

6. Ukiyoto managing committee has the right to reject the screening of a film if it does not adhere to guidelines of meeting the corresponding genres

7. All participants need to sign a letter of undertaking stating the content to be original and not copied or pirated or having the rights to the same - This shall be sent across in the second week of Jan'23

8. Registered participants are most welcome to call in their own guests as the Carnival is free of charge for all visitors

1. Ukiyoto is not responsible for audience attendance inside the screening hall though all efforts of increasing as many possible would be done by promotional emails, whatsapp blasts and announcements to all visitors for the same
