About the Event

To all Authors, Writers, Poets, Artists, Musicians, Lyricists, Composers and Individuals of similar likes, engage in an inspirational and interactive journey with stories and music from two great speakers followed by your content submission for publication and music production.

Day 1 (21st August 8:30pm IST): Workshop by International thought leader and Ambassador of Happiness, UNESCO, Maura Sweeney on "Inspirational Stories to see through torrid times & Hanging onto your dreams"...

Day 2 (22nd August 8:00pm IST): Interactive storytelling and music conversation with International Artist, Raghu Dixit on "Why do we need to tell more stories in life?"

Maura's Profile:

First called Ambassador of Happiness® by the UNESCO Center for Peace when speaking at the inaugural Nelson Mandela Day celebrations, Maura Sweeney is a global influencer on leadership, emotional intelligence and becoming one’s personal best.

Maura brings her insights and acquired mettle to a wide audience.

Author, Podcaster and Frequent Media Guest, she’s keynoted internationally at universities, national leadership conferences and American Embassy outposts. In the U.S., she has lectured to aspiring FBI and CIA candidates on emotional intelligence; keynoted at an international model UN summer camp comprised of students from 28 nations; moderated a think tank event entitled “Full of Hate: The Rise of Violent Extremism in America” and appears in the Emmy award winning ESPN 20 for 20 film Playing for the Mob.

In 2018, the All Ladies League awarded Maura Woman of the Decade at the Women’s Economic Forum in The Hague. In 2020, she received a Legacy award for Global Diplomacy in London, England.

Raghu's Profile:

Raghu Dixit, and The Raghu Dixit Project, are best known for taking ancient Kannada poetry, and presenting it around the world with a contemporary, global sound. From their colourful lungis, a take on their cultural heritage, to their rooted and earthy sound, they have become a stellar example of modern India.

Raghu's music truly transcends age and genre, having played concerts with over 100,000 people in Karnataka, being featured on some of the biggest music based shows in the world including BBC's "Later .. with Jools Holland", and festivals like Glastonbury.

Over the last 5 years, the band has been a regular feature at venues around the world, most notably their last International tour that spanned 6 countries and over 30 venues of the likes of the Sydney Opera House.

What happens after the two breath taking sessions?

a. All participants would get the opportunity to furnish their content/manuscript on inspirational journeys or stories for worldwide publication in paperback, ebook and audio book formats across global channels. There is no word limit as participants who submit more than 10,000 words of quality content would be considered for single title production while those below the same would be taken up for a collection title/ anthology.

b. Participants may submit spoken word projects in the form of lyrics or poetry. Audio files of spoken word projects would be given playback music and illustrations to populate as music albums on Amazon Music, Google Music, iTunes, Saavn and all other major channels.

Due royalty for all formats of the book and music would be remitted to authors', poets' and song writers' accounts.

Terms and Conditions

a. The event link would be emailed to all participants few days before the session

b. Content must be in English only and can be both prose and poetry

c. Content along with author profile (in word format) needs to be emailed to publishing@ukiyoto.com and pachydermtales@gmail.com post online registration

d. Deadline for all final submission of content is 30th September 2020

e. Books, Audio books and Music albums will be published/produced on a rolling basis as and when the submission come in
